Minimalism: The Joy of Less

When we think about improving our lives, we often think ‘more’. A bigger home, a new phone, more social time. Yet this approach too often lands us in debt, with a house full of stuff and a life full of stress. 


What might our lives be like with ‘less’? 


What if we decided to get off the treadmill of life and step in a new direction?


The minimalist lifestyle is all about removing the excess, to reveal what truly matters. Together we’ll be exploring how to let go of the unnecessary, to create space for the things that bring us joy. Alongside this, we’ll be examining the rise of capitalism, and the ensuing impact of hustle culture and consumerism in our lives. Taking the time to think not just about our own lives, but how minimalism can help us with the fight for environmental sustainability and liberation for all. 


This course will involve 5 weekly sessions over Zoom 7-8.30pm Tuesday evenings (GMT). Each session will include 1 hr 15 mins of teaching with break out groups, followed by a short break and open Q&A. 


Drawing on minimalist practices, we’ll be learning the skills to slow our lives down. Each session will focus on a different area of our lives:

Session 1: Minimalism & Intentional Living

Session 2:  Decluttering your home (part 1)

Session 3: Decluttering your home (part 2)

Session 4: Digital minimalism

Session 5: Relationships


I will be encouraging you to take a couple of hours a week to reflect on your progress. You'll receive a resource bundle of further reading and worksheets for each session, allowing you to make progress on your own (optional).  


You will also be part of a Facebook group where you can share your experiences, ideas and insights, and find support. Participants say that one of the best things about the course is finding

mutual support and sharing ideas with others.
