August Gawen is a minimalist, minimalism coach and pioneer of compassionate minimalism. In his mid-twenties August was overcome with severe mental illness. Looking for anything that would help he stumbled across minimalism. Inspired to live a simpler life, August recycled, donated and re-gifted 90% of his possessions.
Through minimalism August not only found greater happiness and contentment, but time to pursue the things that mattered most - healing, connection to community and meaningful work.
August writes one of the top minimalism blogs in the UK and is a pioneer of compassionate minimalism - highlighting the challenges and joys of embracing minimalism for marginalised communities
